I cannot Create a Profile
You need to be a registered member and be logged in to create a profile. Once you are registered you will automatically have the option to create a profile. Click the 'My Profile' to view your profile. If you are having problems registering please check the Registration Help and FAQ's.

What is a Profile?
A profile is a little bit about yourself. In your profile you can add some details about yourself and your surfing, where you live and the waves you surf. You also get your own image and video gallery which you can post to and share with others.

Who Sees My Profile?
Your profile is available for viewing by anyone. That's the internet for you!

How do I change My Password?
When you are logged in you can change your password by clicking the 'Change Password' checkbox at the bottom of the About Me page or alternatively when viewing your Forum Password.

How do I Upload a Profile Photo?
You will need to have javascript enabled to upload a photo. Click Upload photo and then Browse to the location of the photo on your computer. Once you have located the image you would like, click View and the photo will upload. Once the image has uploaded it will appear in the form. Click OK and the picture will appear in your profile.

Does everyone see my Email Address?
No, your email is not shown to other members or visitors. Your email address can be changes but please keep it a valid as a valid address is required to recover lost passwords.

How can I improve my SW Rating?
Your SW Rating is increased by community action that you undertake while on the site. The more you contribute by adding photos, videos, reviewing products, adding surf spots and posting on the forum the higher your rating will be.

My Quiver
What is My Quiver?
Your Quiver is your current Surfboard Stash. You can upload pictures and add details of your current arsenal for all to see.

How many boards am I allowed?
At the moment there is a limit of 5 boards per member profile - plenty for the average surfer.

Can I Edit or Delete a Board?
You need to be logged in to Edit or Delete a board. When logged in you will see each board has an edit and delete option.

My Images
How do I Upload a Surf Picture?
You do not have to be logged in to Upload a Surf Picture. However, if you are logged in the uploaded image is added to your own surf picture gallery. An Image can be uploaded from your individual gallery pages or from the main Surf Picture section.
Click the Add Photo / Upload your Image link. Click Browse and locate the image on your computer. Once selected the image will being uploading. While the image is uploading, complete the details with as much information as possible. Once all the details are complete and the image has appeared - click the 'add image' button.

How many Pictures am I allowed?
As many as you like. Each image is added to your own directory when you are logged on so let your friends know where they can come and view your pics.

What is Tagging?
Adding Tags to an image helps to identify the type of surf picture. The main image gallery can be browsed and searched by image types. Tagging an image to describe it makes the image gallery more user friendly.
I can't see my Picture yet, Is there a Problem?
There are a couple of reasons why you may not be able to view your picture straight away.
- You were not logged in when you uploaded your image. If you are not logged in your video will require moderation before it is displayed on the site.
- There was an error in your image upload. If this is the case you should have been notified with an error message. Only GIF, PNG and JPEG/JPG formats are supported.
My Videos
How do I Upload a Surf Video?
You do not have to be logged in to Upload your Surf Video Clip. However, if you are logged in the uploaded video is added to your own surf video section. A Clip can be uploaded from your individual gallery pages or from the main Surf Video section.
Click the Add Video / Upload your Video link. Click Browse and locate the file on your computer. Complete the upload details with as much information as possible. Once all the details are complete and the image has appeared - click the 'add this video ' button. The clip will upload and appear shortly in your Video gallery.

I can't see my Video yet, Is there a Problem?
There are several reasons why you may not be able to view your video straight away.
- You were not logged in when you uploaded your video. If you are not logged in your video will require moderation before it is displayed on the site.
- Your video has uploaded but it is 'Encoding'. Your video is subjected to background processing once is has been uploaded. This ensures that all video formats are converted to the format used to display on the site. This can take some time and the video becomes viewable once the process has completed
- There was an error in your video upload. If this is the case you should have been notified with an error message.
My Location
How do I Add my Location?
Adding your location is simple and can be done in two ways. You can either use the search feature by entering your address into the search bar. You can also zoom into your location using the map links, by clicking and dragging the map and then clicking once on your location. Once you have the correct location click the Save button

Can I change my Location?
You can easily change your location by clicking the Change button located below the map.

My Waves
What is My Waves?
The My Waves section is where you can add the waves you have surfed. This section should list all the waves you have surfed around the world and let everyone see how well travelled you are!

How do I add a Wave?
If you add a surf spot in the Surf Map section it will automatically be added into your Waves. A wave can also be added to My Waves by clicking the Add to MyWaves link from the individual Surf Spot section.

I can't find a wave I've surfed in the Surf Spots section, how can I add this to MyWaves?
If you can't find a spot in the Surf Spots section then take a moment and add it. Adding a Surf Spot to the Surf Map will automatically include it in your MyWaves section. It also increases your SW Rating!

My Crew
How can I add members to My Crew?
You need to be logged in. When viewing the profile of the member you want to invite you will see an 'Invite this Member' link. Click the link and the member will be invited to join your Surf Crew. Once the member accepts you will be become a member in each other's Surf Crew.

I invited someone to My Crew, why are they not showing?
It is possible that the member you invited has either not had a chance to accept your invitation yet - or they may have declined.
